We began by practicing using the past perfect tense, our learning objective for the term. Every student provided three answers to the following question: “Before I was 21, I had…” Obviously, this sentence construction forced students to use the past perfect tense.

Today was debate day. The debate topic: Summer is a better season than winter. In the end, I think the winter team won, but just barely.
