Students listened to a model conversation about a fashion company trying to save its business.  After listening, identified statements used to acknowledge other arguments.  The strategy is to A) say that the other person has a good point, B) repeat the point, and C) offer an alternative opinion.  They used the phrases to complete a conversation and to write a new one.  These conversations were presented to the class.
