Wednesday, February 28 - AM Fluency
Students listened to a model conversation about a fashion company trying to save its business. After listening, identified statements used to acknowledge other arguments. The strategy is to A) say that the other person has a good point, B) repeat the point, and C) offer an alternative opinion. They used the phrases to complete a conversation and to write a new one. These conversations were presented to the class.
Grammar- Noun Clauses - A noun clause is a group of words (with a subject and a verb) that together act as a noun. A noun clause can be in the subject or object position in a sentence.
