Ricardo Beckert: Learning another Language (Problem/Solution)

Maria Jose: The Process of Getting a Visa (Chronological Order)


Viviana: Being Vegan (Pros & Cons)


Daiane: Autism (Past - Present - Future)


Katharina: Impact of Food on our Body (Chronological Order)

Topic: Ways to Survive with No Money 

Organizational pattern: problem-solution.


All together, the students solved one more example. 

Topic: Being married or being single 

Organizational pattern: advantages-disadvantages

 

The students brainstormed, then identified three subtopics, and finally organized the subtopics in sequential order:


  1. Finances

  2. Family (including parenting) - versus living alone

  3. Cultural differences/ petty issues - compromising versus living by one’s own rules



Finally, we went over Step 2 (p. 100), Step 3 (p. 100/101), Step 4 (p.101), Step 5 (p. 101), Step 6 (p. 101/102)
