Monday, February 5 - AM Advanced

We began with an explanation of Collocations on page 85. The SS completed the exercise, and created a few sentences using the given collocations.

They previewed the vocabulary before reading Old Enough to Drive on page 86 to the members of their group.

They did the same for A New Kind of Ride on the Streets of New York.

Words in Discussion, and Words in Writing some dialogue.

We began chapter 11 by reviewing the vocabulary on pages 88 and 89. The SS read the vocabulary to their partner(s) along with the two sample sentences.

They completed Words and Definitions on page 89, then I had them work together to creat a sentence for each of the 10  pieces of vocabulary.
